Eight months after my last blog post, here I am again, at long last. It’s also almost eight months since I gave birth to our son, Olliver, on December 31st of 2018. As you might guess, these things are related. It’s been a wonderful, hard, life-changing eight months and I finally see how I could return to some things that were temporarily left behind a year ago, like this space and all it represents. But these months have also shown me what is truly important in my life and what I want to spend my limited solo time on. I’ve missed my creative practice the most, and the times I have been able to paint have been wonderful. I love bringing my ideas to life with paint, creating a mood that speaks to me. I want to paint much more, exploring and getting better, seeing where it leads. At the moment, I have no great desire, or the time, to do anything more with that work than just making it.
And so here we are, at the closing down sale, which sounds more dramatic and permanent than it is. Windward Made will still be here and I plan to blog about my creative endeavors as weekly as I can. But the shop will close down and to help bring that about a little more quickly, all remaining scarves are 50% off. With September fast approaching and with it, hopefully, some good autumn weather, scarves are always very welcome. Every scarf will still arrive ready for gift-giving, so you may want to stock up for the holiday season? (Too soon?) Anyway, I hope that these last scarves will find a good home. See if there’s one for you, right here.
As always, thank you for reading and I will see you soon!
